Kara

This is Kara. She was diagnosed with diabetes and was treated for her condition, but it caused mature cataracts in both her eyes. To allow Kara to see clearly again, her veterinarian recommended that she see an ophthalmologist who could perform a double cataract surgery and lens transplant.

Even though the procedure would be costly, Kara’s owners decided to go ahead with the surgery. They wanted her to be able to see again. Through a grant from Rochester Hope for Pets Kara’s owners were able to afford the surgery and Kara made a full recovery.

Charles and Pat were also able to get her diabetes under control and, best of all, Kara could see again! This was quite a relief for Charles and Pat, who said, “It is like a miracle to see her act like she did when she was a puppy.”
